Halloween

1 Nov

Last night was Zef’s first Halloween and the first Halloween that Nathan anticipated with great excitement.

Zef was a turtle. He didn’t like the hat, but he did like his brother’s candy and his brother’s balloon. He paid no mind to his brother’s irritation.

He’s really going to have to get over his aversion to hats and socks–it’s getting colder!

Nathan was dead set on being a ghostbuster for the whole month of October… until we were browsing the costumes at Target the other day and he found an Obi Wan Kenobi costume in his size. Mommy and daddy were debating whether or not to buy it, but Nathan put it in the cart and announced that he was ready to go. He was adamant.

You’ll notice his lips are in the “zhoomp zhoomp” position. (He still calls light sabers “whompers”!)

Someday I hope to actually make the boys costumes. Good ones. You know, when I have all that free time…

We did our trick-or-treating at the mall and Nathan got a nice little collection of candy in his pumpkin bucket. He’s not yet very interested in either quantity or quality– it’s all about the experience for him.

Fun fact: Zef’s turtle costume was actually for a medium sized dog, but I’ve always said: if the costume fits, wear it!
